Our Sauna Dream Comes to Life!

It all begins with an idea.

We had our very first “date” in a sauna! And became regular visitors to our local sports centre sauna thereafter, until lockdown prevented us from this weekly self-care ritual.

Charlie began dreaming of a sauna at home, which at first seemed like a bonkers fantasy! But the idea stuck, and after several serendipitous adventures to festivals and glamping holidays across the UK in the summer of 2021, that in one way or another spurred the idea on, we were introduced by a friend to local builder Eloi Cardon.

Eloi had spent 20 years in the building industry and was making a transition into his passion project business venture; building bespoke saunas. Our idea continued to evolve until by the end of 2021 we had commissioned an 8 person, wood-fired, solar-powered trailer sauna to take to events and festivals, hire out for weddings and private sauna parties, and of course live in our driveway in between!

As we write this post Eloi are bringing our vision to life at a local workshop near Dartington in Devon, and we are enjoying popping in now and then to watch the progress!
